Falling for Hamlet

by Michelle Ray

This book is a modern-day version of Shakespeare’s Hamlet.  The reader is taken on a journey through all the events and happenings in the royal family of Denmark.  You look at it from the perspective of Ophelia, the daughter of the king’s most trusted advisor and also the girlfriend of the prince, Hamlet.

Michelle Ray gives Ophelia a very strong-minded personality and gives the reader insight into her life and interests, something which Shakespeare did not do.

The book’s subtitle “First comes love, then comes madness” truly captures the essence of the whole story.  I would definitely recommend this book for any Shakespeare fans.
